My, what an astonishing display of overt -- even
maudlin -- sensitivity. To quote an Imperial Drag
song: "Here's a hankerchief in case you cry."

Bryan, Bryan, Bryan. What is it, exactly, that makes
me an a**hole (or a "f**king jerk", as you so
eloquently wrote)? Was it the fact that I defended
myself against an extremely condescending -- and
utterly misinterpreted -- post by Barry Schlom? Sure,
I reacted with a measure of sarcasm and resentment,
but aren't you, yourself, guilty of the same thing
from time to time? I recall a few months ago when you
'exploded' here on the list -- against Sam Smith, IIRC
-- and you apologized. I think another apology is in
order (you tend to use the word "a**hole" an awful
lot, boy).
For the record, my name is Tam. Seriously. I live in
Sac City, Iowa, for anyone who cares (I've mentioned
it before, IIRC). I am 50-ish (salt-n-pepper goatee
and a loooong pony-tail), married with a teenage
daughter (Hannahbarbara, the joy of my life), work for
a local siding manufacturer, ride a Triumph
motorcycle, and I love music (just not the Beatles). I
am not a troll or someone hiding behind a fake email
address. Get over it already.
The esteemed Bob Segarini (and I _do_ mean that, I
love Bob's music) wrote:

See, I'm one of those Stones guys. I've always
preferred the _rock_, frankly. The Beatles' music just
didn't (and doesn't) move me all that much (if that
makes me a "f**king jerk" so be it). Sure, there's
"Helter Stupid" and some other rockers (the absymal
"Revolution", the awful "Old Brown Shoe", etc.), but
Beatles were all about the image, the fluff, the
visual. IMO. The Stones, however, were all about the
music (still are, in fact; I consider them as vitally
relevant now as they've ever been -- "Steel Wheels" is
effin _brilliant_).
My top ten:
1) Rolling Stones
2) The Yardbirds
3) The Animals
4) Creedence Clearwater Revival
5) The Faces
6) Them
7) The Who
8) Jerry Lee Lewis
9) Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
10) Elvis Presley
11) Cactus
Relax, don't do it.
