And then there's my song ID question.. On the way into work today I
heard a cover of David Bowie's "Changes" done by a female artist. There
is also a male voice who comes in later (it could actually be Bowie
himself). I thought I vaguely remembered some discussion on the song
here awhile ago. Does anyone know who it is?
The new version of "Changes" features an Australian singer/songwriter named
Butterfly Boucher. The duet version appears on the Shrek 2 soundtrack. The
male voice is Bowie. BB also has been the support act for Sarah McLachlan on
her North American summer tour.
I don't have much to add to the Rooney discussion other than the last 2
times I've seen them, they have been playing a lot of new songs. The new
tunes definitely up the "rock" quotient :-) During their last show in
Austin, Robert Carmine said that the new CD should be out at the end of the
year.
