Here's what's up with this year's festival.
Change of Venue....
The Lincoln Theatre, uh, goofed. They double booked Sparklefest so I
have been booted. I have relocated the festival up the road at the
new (and infinitely more posh) Martin Street Music Hall. No date
change, October 7-8-9.
The capacity is 450 and the PA, light and other facilities are way
nicer. More info is being dribbled onto the website such as photos
and links to the Martin Street Music Hall site. This is a club run by
musicians for music fans. Oh, yes, liquor will be served.
Sampler CD
This year we are doing another sampler CD. Bands playing the fest pay
$75 for up to 4 minutes. Space on the sample is filling fast and YOU
DON'T have to be on the bill to get on the sampler. These CD's will
be given away at the event and before. Last year's CD was amazing.
The $75 pays for mastering and pressing. An exclusive track would be
swell but is not mandatory. I need the track ASAP. Mastered or
unmastered and a check or MO.
A list of who is playing that is 100% confirmed (but subject to change):
