7/22 - I was very impressed with the Roswells. The lead guitarist style
reminded very much of George Harrison. Lots of nice harmonies. Sparklejets
are reiussing their 1st cd, in through and beyond. So they played mostly
song from that cd. Good to hear my old favs. Didn't care much for Kirsen
Proffit and Mark Lane. Found them both to very be drony.

7/23 - Quarter After did a semi acoustic set. I really enjoy there 60's
psych sound, very reminiscent of the Byrds and Buffalo Springfield. Some
people did mentioned that felt the songs were a little long. I managed to
acquire one of their cd's after the show and I am very impressed with it. I
also liked Jupiter Sunrise. These boys has lots of energy and were very
spontaneous. They started the set with nice a capella 4 part harmonies and
then went into a more rocking set. Just when you were rocking to them,
they uplugged their guitars, jumped off the stage and played this beautiful
ballad to the crowd. Talk about IPO being unplugged. Eugene Edwards
played a really good set as well.......their best ever! ;-) I didn't care
for Spiral and Barefoot Bride. Found them to be kind of sloppy and way to
rock for my taste.

7/24- day - Even though this was a day show, it was a good line up. Very
impressed with Stefano, the guy has one of the sweetest voice around.
Wish he had cd's for sale. Also liked the Firecrackers, good 60's sound
nice harmonies. Both the Resonant Heads and Plasticsoul are little on the
quirky side but I enjoyed it. During the Glimmer Star set we were
entertained by the lead singers 2 year old dancing throughout the set.

7/24 - eve - Another really good evening. The highlight of this evening was
Muck and Mires! Wow! These boys just won Little Steven's battle of the
garage bands and with good reason. Great 60's garage sound. I was up
dancing thru this set. The Fictions were really good as well, keeping the
same 60's garage style. Red Planet was in the Ramones style. Bob
Hutton, I think this a band for you .

See you at the next show.

Cathy
