Hey, a friend at the fab Rainbow Quartz label asked me post this for
y'all to check out......some cool tour activity(and that new Wax Wings is
really holding up for me a week on, must say!).
WAXWINGS NEW ALBUM AND SUMMER TOUR
Detroit quartet The Waxwings aren't straight outta the garage. Rather
they've perfected their sonic alchemy of late 60's Rolling Stones , vocal
weavings of Buffalo Springfield and the Parson-age of eight mile high
flights of fancy in the deepest of basements, bringing a sound to an
audience starved for the affection of passionate craftsmen at the peak of
their powers. Let's Make Our Descent was recorded with Brendan Benson at
Grand Studios in Detroit .

HIGH DIALS NEW EP RELEASE AND SUMMER TOUR
Rainbow Quartz recording artists from Montreal The High Dials will be
releasing the “Fields In Glass ” EP worldwide at the end of July and will be
celebrating with another extensive North American tour. Fields In Glass was
originally featured on the critically acclaimed “ A New Devotion ” album and
has been remixed in New York City by Mike Musmanno (The Icarus Line, Delta
72, Lilys). The EP also includes a remix of Fields In Glass (The Stained
Glass Remix) by Davy Love and Will Carruthers of The Pirates Of The North
Atlantic fame ( Spaceman 3, Spiritualized ).
Fields In Glass has already been receiving commercial radio airplay coast to
coast and will continue to build up steam as the Plates Animation ( The
Shins, Mogwai ) directed video nears completion to coincide with the release
date.
One of the highlights of this tour will be The High Dials appearance at
Little Steven's Underground Festival on Randall's Island in New York City .
The band will share the stage with Iggy and The Stooges, The Strokes, Bo
Diddley, The Raveonettes and play to 30,000 music lovers.
