Just wanted to publicly thank a bunch of folks who made our rock and roll
road trip a success-
Andrea Kremer of Boston Pop Underground and Frank P from King Radio for
hooking the band up with some good shows. Great responsive crowds everywhere!
The Brilliant Mistakes, Winterpills and King Radio for playing some excellent
music and sharing the stage with Cliff & the Forward Thinkers. (Brilliant
Mistakes totally get rock props for driving from Boston back to NYC and then
flying off to LA for IPO the next day)
Roscoe at the Lakeside for having a photo booth- always a highlight of
playing there.
thanks a bunch and we look forward to a lot more days on the road this
fall....
Now for the unfortunate news that we were hit with just hours after we
returned from our trip:
Not sure how many folks on this list are familiar with the Delaware band The
Knobs, but early Sunday morning their lead singer and our good friend Phil
Healy was killed in a tragic car accident. All of the details are not known but
what is known doesn't look good as there was also another motorist (and father
of 2) killed.
We are all pretty shaken up by this, and just wanted to let folks know. Phil
had just been interviewed by the local paper on Thursday about their upcoming
CD release. We have had a CDR of it for over a year and it truly is a great
set of songs, will keep you posted if and when it comes out.
:-( for lack of a better word,
beth
