Tonight was my first foray to this year's fest and it was mighty fun, with
the highlights for me being The Breakup Society's brand of hilarious punky pop
(they also threw in a great version of the Frampton Brothers' tune "Dressing
Room," as Ed from the Breakup Society used to sing lead for the Framps), Barry
Holdship's smooth rockabilly/pop brew (great cover of Gary Lewis' "She's Just
My Style," too) and Kenny Howes' guitar god antics...damn, that boy can PLAY!
It was nice to see some list folks that I don't get to see all that often
(Tallboy Anna, Cathy Gale, A. Bang, Mark Madler) and also a pleasure to meet
Sherman Boim.
