Showdown is on The Third Day. I fell out of my chair when that came out. I couldn't
believe they did such a rip off! In 1973 or 4 Tom Donahue interviewed Lennon on
KSAN. During the course of the interview, Sean, Tom's son played a segue of Out Of
The Blue and something from Eldorado. I want to say I Can't Get It Out Of My Head.
Afterwards John said that was a great call, how they fit together.
Look What You Dun by Slade is a very good Plastic Ono cop....Just been listening to
Miss X by MC5, and it owes more than a little to Plastic Ono Band.
I wish they'd release all those early ELO albums with out the orchestra interludes
and just give us the naked songs. I was a big fan, but it was a little over done. A
song like Oh No Not Susan does not need that little introduction. It's a pain to
cue up those songs to play on the radio the way I want to hear them!
