I have a 30 gig Creative Nomad Zen Xtra Jukebox. So far I love it...and
it's much less expensive than an IPod. I play it at work through an old
boombox w/ RCA inputs on it or my car stereo had an Aux-In (before it was
stolen) - Now I'm back to the factory cassette deck & using a cassette
adapter. As I buy stuff or go on a kick for a certain artist, I load it up.
I've had it for over a year and it's nearly full, so it's time to delete
some of the 2003 releases that I don't listen to. I think it's a great way
to keep track of my "Best Of The Year" list. I set playlists of 2004
releases or upcoming shows or I play total random until something hits me
that I want to listen to that day. I've also been loading SOTT mixes (from
the trade tree) on it for hours of great random pop. Friends that have an
IPod think that they're easier to navigate than the Nomad...but that's a
small concern. If I wanted to use it while exercising or something
(yeah...right), I guess it would be bulky.

At home I mostly listen to Rhapsody on my computer. It's a great way to
preview stuff that I plan on buying or to avoid those curiosity
purchases...Do I need to own the Mandy Moore disc? Probably not...Would I
like to hear it? - Yes. I've yet to buy anything on Rhapsody (I still want
the artwork & it's not really any cheaper than buying the physical disc),
but it has definitely helped me with my purchases.
