a sad iPod story.
I have been wanting one for the longest time, but clearly not something
I could just charge, being a luxury item and all. so I finally get the
money together, right before a long road trip.
I drive 30 minutes to the only store in the area that has the 20g model.
I take it home, open it, follow all the directions closely. Then I finally
start to upload my songs, got to 800+ when the thing just dies on me.
Tried to recharge the battery, nothing. Called Apple, nothing. Took it back
to the store, "sorry sir, but this iPod appears to have a defective battery."
Of course they did not have another 20g in stock, so I am packing my cds
to take with me. Not a good first experience with an Apple product.
