Great for transporting mixes!  iPod also handles the new Apple lossless
compression as well - I think it makes the files 40% smaller than a .wav -
they will expand back to the exact same wav file.   This is the format used
by their little wireless receiver that you plug into the wall - then into
your stereo - and you can send tunes from your 'puter to any of these little
receivers.  Fun!  FLAC is another popular lossless compression for the PC -
it is starting to be supported by some devices.  And many of these little
receivers have digital out so you can hook up a decent converter like the
one in the link below that I can't afford at this moment!  Hope the next gen
iPod has a digital out.  Always back up!
