At lunch, I was reading a bit of the newspaper and it had a review of Jacob Slichter's book that he wrote, following the rise and fall of Semisonic (he was the drummer). A lot of the details are taken from his personal journal accounts, so it's pretty accurate account of all their major label dealings, etc. Apparently, after the success of "Closing Time", they owed their label more than $1 million dollars once their first album had finished its run. The book sounds like a good read. Has anyone read it yet?

Cheers!
Brent
