Prompted by Not Lame's Obscuros CD, the Teenline series, and Billy's Live365
site, I will be posting a different obscure (to me anyway) song each week (or
so) at www.ibuyvinyl.com. This week's is by a band called Streek. I don't
know too much about them other than the fact that they meld power pop and aor to
great effect. The song is called "Johnny You're a Bad Boy" and you can
access it by clicking the song of the week tab.
For the performers on the list, get this: In an effort to connect with a
birthday celebrating audience member at a show over the weekend, I tripped on a
cable and literally flew off the stage bass and all. I managed a fine
pirouette in mid air to prevent damage to the guitar. I quickly jumped up and handed
her the CD as if it was all part of the show. Now if I could just get the
swelling to go down.
