To my knowledge, there's never been a Hall & Oates tribute disc...but lemme just say, if one is ever done, the man who needs to cover "Kiss On Your List" is Michael McDonald. Jenn and I went to see the Rock & Soul Revue 2004, featuring Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, and the Average White Band (though I don't know how many members of the band are still original), and, for the encore, all the artists came out for a mutual love-fest, trading verses and choruses on each other's songs. Daryl Hall tried on "What A Fool Believes" for size and didn't do too badly, but when Michael McDonald sang "Kiss On Your List," damn, that was one of those cases where I wanted to shove Hall offstage and just hear McDonald do the entire song by himself. It was, in a word, brilliant...and, if there's any justice, he'll actually record his version someday.

Regards,

WILL
