My friend Lindsay just got back from the Ben Folds/Guster/Rufus
Wainwright show in Buffalo. It was a free show.
While I was talking to her, she started telling me about the two opening
acts, and it turns out one was Steve Bertrand's new band Avion. What a
great lineup.
Now, here's my complaint. Why isn't this tour coming to the west coast
AND why does she always get to see Ben for free. She's seen him three
times there at free park shows.
But now that I think about it, I've seen him free twice .. hehe .. and
Steve Bertand's a bit out of it as his site lists he was sharing the
stage with Ben Folds "Five" today. For what it's worth, I dug out the
CD I got from Steve at IPO 2002 in L.A. and it's got all the Avion
tracks on it.
