I have a feeling that depends more upon the source material than anything,
although the older the CD reissue the crappier the sound quality (due to
advances in mastering tech). The One Way titles that I do own sound fine,
taking into account what the material is: Producers, Eddie Jobson, Bo
Hansson, Missing Persons, Poco...the worst of the lot is the Emitt Rhodes
album, and I expected it to have weaker quality sound because of the
limitations imposed by the circumstances of its' production (in the
makeshift home studio circa 1970). Even the Varese Sarabande Rhodes comp
belies those limitations on that particular material, although it was better
cared for in the remastering process.

Of course, this is all nitpicking, and we should be glad that the stuff was
converted to digital at all. I have a feeling that a lot of stuff will
never see the light of laser due to various reasons (deteriorated tapes,
lack of popular interest, etc.) so I'm not gonna bitch too loudly.
