[Sigh.] I hate having to explain the simple stuff, but let me try again.
As I have said here before, I think Jet is one of the best new bands
I've heard in a while. Made #2 on my best of list for 2003, in fact. So
that shot from Pitchforkmedia earlier today struck me as cheap and
perhaps a tad uninformed. My comment was merely intended to suggest that
I think very highly of the band, and feel sorry for those who can't find
as much pleasure in them as I do.

From reading your posts, it seems like you might have misread me as
saying that I think they suck and that somehow I disrespected people who
liked them. Which is kinda the opposite of what was said.

So, I like Jet and have reservations about people who take cheap shots
at them. I've been called worse than asshole (and for better reason, no
doubt), and somehow I find the strength to carry on. Haven't DONE any
name-calling, though, and I feel good about that.

...it's a lonesome thing to be passing small towns with the
lights shining sideways when the night is down, or going in
strange places with a dog nosing before you and a dog nosing
behind, or drawn to the cities where you'd hear a voice
kissing and talking deep love in every shadow of the ditch,
and you passing on with an empty, hungry stomach failing
from your heart.
