Michael:
I bought the Difford CD a couple of weeks ago during a stop at Jack's Music
in Red Bank, N.J. (a must for visitors), and found it a lovely and
surprising listen.
Chris's vocals were always my favorite part of Squeeze ("Love Circles" from
Frank remains one of my favorite songs). So it's nice to hear back out there
and on his feet again.
Although the deft lyrical touches are there, it's not a very Squeez-y album.
It's much quieter and more introspective. Of particular interest is Chris'
reinterpretation of "Electric Trains," from the 1996 Squeeze record
"Ridiculous."

John Micek.
