Oh god yes, and guilty as charged in my earlier days. Hell, I've done almost
all of this at one point, and also struggle with the vocabulary issues that
Mike Bennett was talking about.
I said in an email to another auditeer last week that writing for All Music
Guide is a bit of a mixed blessing, because all of your clips (including your
older, lesser ones) are out in the world together, haunting you like
embarassing baby photos. And even though some of mine are more than five years old,
they're mixed in with my newer, stronger pieces, and any random person could
find one of those old ones and say "whoa, what an idiot". Or maybe they
wouldn't, but I do... --Jason
