As a recording artist (and I should put that term in quotations), I've spent
the better part of my 20+ years in the biz being compared to other folks.
Usually I could care less and sometimes they even get it right - yeah, I
have spent a good amount of time ripping off Roger McGuinn. But when I get
compared to REM I do sort of turn purple. But I'd love to be compared to
Shoes!
