A variation on this used to amuse me when I would
meet someone for the first time (not meeting as many
strangers now for some reason), and inevitably we'd
get around to discussing music, and I'd say "who do
you like?" and they'd say, "Oh, gosh...everything...
from [X] to [Y]." But, X would be Led Zeppelin and
Y would be, I don't know, Lynyrd Skynyrd,....just
examples, you know what I mean....and this would
reveal many things, mainly that they thought they had
a very wide scope of musical interests, and they were
proud of it....
