You may be able to get around this. I have a Yamaha D 651 which has the
same issue, but if I switch the setting from digital to analog it will
rectify the problem. Of course, this means the copy you'll have made won't
be "digital", but you won't be able to detect any difference from a sonic
standpoint.
The only problem I have with the analog setting is that the machine
automatically inserts two seconds of silence between tracks, and this
actually also happens in the digital mode when I want to make mix CDs and
use the "single track" setting. I have yet to figure out how to eliminate
those two-second insertions. If anyone knows what I might try, I'd be
grateful.
