Yes... but I will accept that..

I've been digging The Belfast Gypsies song called Gloria's Dream... it's the
same song with the chords inverted. This was one of those small West Coast
hits....I found a copy of the original album years ago, but it was sort of
beat. Just got the RevOla reissue. Sweet.

The Wheels, another Belfast band did a good cover of Gloria as well. This
can be found on the essential comp, Belfast Beat.(Big Beat) Curiously
enough, the Shadows Of Knight covered the Wheels Bad Little Woman. There is
much speculation how they tracked this down....

There was a 8mm film of my first band's first gig. We are clearly playing
Gloria. It was a new record at the time.

Them's version was a solid Bay Area radio hit, as was SOK. It was hip djs
like Tom Donahue that were responsible for a lot of the coastal hits. When I
talk to people they are always surprised what was on the radio in SF and San
Jose. TD's pal Bobby Mitchell's little brother Billy worked at KLIV in San
Jose, so we got a lot of those songs too.

As a result I collected a lot of weird one off things thinking they were
major US hits.
