It's a sad day as Ray Charles leaves the stage for good. I echo the thoughts
of others -- he was a musician and songwriter of vast reach, great
innovation, and consummate style who spanned several genres. He's easily one
of the greatest figures of twentieth-century popular music. Sinatra called
him "the only genius in our business." I'm gonna dig out Brother Ray's old
Atlantic sides and listen to them when I get home from work today.

But can we please leave Reagan and politics out of the comments about Ray
Charles? Thanks.
