WLS was one of my favorite stations while growing up in Oklahoma - their sound
(great jingles, that huge reverb on everything and a signal that came in
like a
local in Oklahoma) and music rotation (more like a "Rock 40" format - very few
bubblegum hits) eaisly outclassed all the other Top 40 giants I grew up with.

Lucklly I made tapes of Landecker's show including Boogie Check on my McMartin
radio w/cassette back then. Last year I dug out those cheap K-Mart cassettes
and put together an aircheck. The sound quality isnt great in parts but I
caught the man at his best. I have a better quality mp3 but its almost 15mb -
this one is about 5.45 in size.
