Yeah, as I'd mentioned, Record Emporium surely doesn't have great stock, and
their collectables aren't in very good shape.  It's really the camaraderie I
felt with the staff that made me want to keep coming back.  Example: they
had a bunch of (get this) used cassettes of Partridge Family albums, listed
for $2.00 each.  I asked the owner if there might be a discount on some of
these, to which he replied "oh, yeah!" and gave them to me for $1.00 each. I
could tell that he was relieved to be getting rid of them, but at the same
time thought it was very cool in some perverse way that someone was
interested in buying them for their pure aesthetic value.  That's the kind
of thing that you don't find in most music shops anymore, and that's one of
the things I loved about Record Emporium.
