My good pal Chocolate Robert Pally asked,

<< Sounds cool, where can I get this? >>

Check Right In, everyone, at.......

http://www.bigmagic.com/pages/blackj/

......and opt for the Signed and Numbered copy of
"Bob Dylan and The Beatles: Volume One of The Best of the Blacklisted
Journalist"
direct from Al's PO Box, I'd suggest.
The best $20 (U.S.) ANY of us will be able to spend on reading material this
year, I do predict!

May I also now add how honored and privileged I felt to attend the gala
release party for this book last week, and it was an absolute cross-cultural,
multi-genre smorgasbord of cool people (hi, Jennie!!) and cool sounds (Coltrane
meets Shankar, believe it or knot ;-)

But most amazing, not to mention poignant, of all was whenever The
Blacklisted Journalist would climb onstage to read sections from his memoirs to a hushed
audience of longtime friends, supporters, students and fans.

The man is nothing short of a national treasure; I'll be writing more on
this all in Fufkin et al later (I'm hoping to interview Al soon too),

Gary "and the Aronowitz/Audities semi-connection? He once booked Richard X.
Heyman to put together an opening act for Sly & The Family Stone, all those
years ago" Pig
