Caught Marshall's show here in Charlotte and it was just outstanding. He played in a church that also doubles as a reception hall. Hadn't been to a "rock" concert where I had to sit in a pew before, but it was cool and the acoustics were great.

It was just Marshall and a Gibson hollow body electric. Set was:

Reminiscing (Buddy Holly)
Someday Someway
From Now Until Then
Alone in a Room
You're My Favorite Waste of Time
Lonely Avenue (Doc Pomus)
Angel on my Shoulder (Shelby Flint)
Kit Kat Clock (Bottle Rockets)
Barely Hangin on to Me (Johnny Paycheck)
Will We Ever
What Do You Dream Of
Endless Sleep (Jody Reynolds)
Where Home Used to Be
There She Goes Again
Long & Complicated
Cynical Girl
Few Thousand Days Ago
Kick out the Jams (MC5)
Whenever You're on My Mind
Til I Hear From You (Gin Blossoms song co-written by MC)
Mary Anne
You Should Have Been There
Spell is Broken

All that in 80 minutes!

Also, he talked about him touring as one of the guitarists in this summer's MC5 reunion tour. He said everything happened really quickly and he's really excited about the upcoming shows. I think there's rotating guest musicians coming and going throughout the tour, but Marshall made it sound like he was playing on all the dates.

Chris
