Sadly --- it's true.
BUT, I really like "Vanilla Sky" ....
When McCartney writes a song that makes me want to grab a guitar (fast) and
learn it ...well, then it's pretty good in my book.
I also enjoyed "So Like Candy", co-written with Elvis C. Though it sounds
like Elvis did most of the composing there.
