Time for that necessary evil, self-promotion.

I have a new album, my first solo studio CD, coming out Sept. 28th. It's not
a Cockeyed Ghost album because Cockeyed Ghost is about loud guitars, and this
album is about piano, acoustic guitars, and strings (although it's mostly
uptempo).

If you liked "Fates Cry Foul," "The Foghorn" or TUMBLEWEED CONNECTION you'll
probably be into this album, which is called YOU DON'T KNOW ME. It includes
vocal guest shots by Darian Sahanaja and Probyn Gregory, Stew and Heidi, Evie
Sands, plus appearances by Michael Whitmore and Paul Lacques of the
Bonedaddies/I See Hawks in L.A.

You can check out the cover at www.adammarsland.com

Karma Frog is gonna promote this thing. I'm touring the country with a full
band in October, and all the radio/publicity bases will be covered. To help
fund the effort, we're putting together a "deluxe set" of two CDs and two DVDs
which will be ready in July.

The two CDs include an early copy of the new album, plus a 23-track Cockeyed
Ghost RARITIES VOL. 2 set of mostly unreleased and rare studio material from
1994-2003. We put it together in the studio last week and I have to tell you,
it's great. It has some of the best stuff we've ever cut on it, including a
"lost" song recently rediscovered from sessions for our first CD.

The double DVD will include the two videos we're doing for the new album, a
live performance in L.A. with Adam Marsland's Chaos Band (including Evie Sands
on guitar and vocals), plus a bonus disc with the band doing various covers,
including portions of the soul show we did last November.

Within the next two weeks we'll have a couple of mp3s up from the upcoming
album. The CD's been held back from release for nearly a year, so I'm curious
to hear everyone's reactions to it.

End of necessary evil...
