After hearing the material for Sarah Hudson's forthcoming album on
Frontline, I proceeded to acquire a copy of "Girl On The Verge" off the Web,
found the website (via her label S-Curve) at www.sarahhudson.com and the
info that "Naked Truth" will be released on July 13. (And the preorder at
CD Universe is only $6.99!) There are streaming tunes available for
listening - some well-written, produced & performed stuff. Mark may be an
odd ball (rainbow whiskers), but there's no denying he can turn out the
tunes, and his daughter seems to have inherited the ability. Sounds like it
could be an Audities fave.
On another thread, I've had the Eric Idle "FCC Song" downloaded for a while.
One must be wary about playing it to friends because of the political
content - although everything he says about the FCC (or as The Firesign
Theatre used to spell it: "F*CC") is pretty damn funny and ultimately
accurate. It reminds me of Idle's Python classic "I Bet You They Won't Play
This Song On The Radio," except with "explanatives" undeleted. (Matt Sorum
- another perpetuation of the idiot drummer stereotype.)
