Hi Everyone,

The pop just doesn't stop at International Pop Overthrow Presents, so please
come to our next Shindig at The Scene on Thursday, May 20! Here's the
lineup:

8:00 Jason Dean: An excellent singer/songwriter from Los Angeles who adds
soul and passion to everything he does, which you can hear for yourself on
his CD, Joy In Mudville. Jason's former band, The Jason Dean Experience,
played the IPO Festival in Los Angeles in 1999, so it's great to have him
back in the fold!

8:45 Captain Genius: They proudly proclaim that "Captain Genius Is Here To
Save The World!", and while that may be going just a bit far, their
hook-laden CD featuring both classic and modern power pop sounds will
certainly make your day a whole lot better! www.captaingenius.net

9:30 Lisa Mychols: Many of you know Ms. Mychols’ work as the main gal of The
Masticators, and some of you have heard her wonderful Christmas album, Lost
Winter’s Dream. She's been doing her own thing for a couple of years now
and I can say with 100% confidence that you'll really love both her songs
and the engaging manner in which she sings and plays them! Look for her new
CD, Sweet Sinsations, real soon! www.lisamychols.com

10:15 Static Halo: A great band from San Diego featuring the songwriting
acumen of Dylan Martinez and Mike Kamoo. Bob Mould/Husker Du fans will love
the thick, dense production values and mind numbing chord changes on their
CD, Save It For The Ages. The band also includes the venerable San Diego
scene maker and main-man of The Shambles, Bart Mendoza!

11:00 Addison: They're a dynamic young modern pop band who deserve a lot of
attention from the industry! If you love Rooney and The Waking Hours (and I
know a lot of you do) you’ll also love Addison, especially live, where they
can be particularly entertaining and fun! www.addisonrock.com

Admission for the show is $5. The Scene is located at 806 East Colorado St.
in Glendale, and is a 21+ club. Their phone is 818
241-7029, and their website is www.thescenebar.com.

We hope to see you there!
