Judging by all the comments in relation to these
recent Top 20 or 100 lists, it appears that a lot of
the important musical artists of the 20th Century and
their contributions are slowly being forgotten as
radio playlists become more corporately condensed and
homogenized.
There's too much music for this generation to sift
through at this point without something or someone
providing a way towards all the "good stuff." We need
more programs like what Little Steven is doing with
the Underground Garage to keep the memory of what has
gone before alive today.
