From "Brad Harvey" <billionbrads@att.net>
Subject Denzil

[Part 1 text/plain iso-8859-1 (0.8 kilobytes)] (View Text in a separate window)

When I was publishing OIL magazine in 1994, I interviewed Denzil after
catching a show of his in Iowa City. I went on to book him for the local
NBC-TV affiliate in Davenport in my capacity as live music producer (I think
I may still have the video of his appearance featuring "Fat Loose Fancies
Me" and "Running This Family".)

He soundchecked a version of "Bastard Son of Elvis" which was deemed a
little too risque for afternoon television. Good humored bloke--his bassist
was a little nit-picky (he produced Denzil's album and oversaw any TV sound
problems before their appearance). They left a small stack of Denzil drink
coasters and copies of the "Useless" CD single and Denzil's album.
