Bob, I knew it was meant as a compliment.
Whereas Off Broadway continues to play and sound stronger than ever,
I think that "Little Johnson" has been long retired...capisce?
Actually the whole evening was great and
my 100 mile drive home I was still grinning and
actually thinking how fortunate I am to have seen (and survived)
alot of those bands evolve over the years. (even PRE Enuff Z'Nuff
band We're Staying! GREAT GREAT Power Pop stuff back then
I have a demo that stillgets alot of airplay here)
Good to hear The Bradburys cover "International Pop Overthrow" to end
their set.
Another Off Broadway note was bringing back "New Little Girl" into
their set. The lyrics were actually used on our daughter's Birth
Announcement 9 years ago. Now I take her to see them and Big
Hello/Handcuffs at Navy Pier and festival shows.
She is treated like royalty by all of them and it makes for
some wonderful Father/Daughter "dates".
Thanks to all of you here for doing such a great job in keeping
the spirit and love of all this great music (then and now) alive and well.
I have been a long time reader but a newbie contributer.
Glad to be here.
Again Thanks,
"Boris"
