i always perceived that piece to be quite intricate upon an acute listen.
i missed the 60s, but i've seen Jorma in a number of capacites, usually with Hot Tuna.
Jorma really is my favorite guitarist, along with his usual Rev. Gary Davis style.
i used to go see John Cippolina A LOT, when he played regularly with Nick Gravenites, along the North Beach circuit.
i was so sorry to see him go.

years later and maybe the greatest acoustic guitar album of all
time (in my tiny brain - tho I wish Steve Morse would do an acoustic
solo record - I've seen him do 2 acoustic solo shows - unbeatable).
I felt Jorma & John Cippolina were the most interesting of the SF
summer of love SF bands.
