Not a pop song, but my favorite waitress song is "Boogie Woogie Blue
Plate" by Louis Jordan:

"There's a gal at the local beanery
She's a pretty hunk of scenery
She can make the chocolate soda go sssssss
You oughta go around and dig it
When she's working at the spigot
You can hear her yelling orders like this..."

Best bartender song is also on the old side: "One For My Baby (and
One More For the Road":

"It's quarter to three
There's no one in the place but you and me
So set 'em up, Joe
I got a little story you oughta know
We're drinking, my friend,
To the end
Of a brief episode
Make it one for my baby
And one more for the road"

Got hipped to this group by my good friend Mike. Cool list, glad to
have found it.

Cheers,
Tom
