I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their suggestions of music ideas
for my son.

I really like the idea of making a booklet to go a long with a mix tape. I
also liked the suggestion of taking him to the shop and letting him pick.

What really gets me is how you can have a perfect choice on a soundtrack, but
then when you find the original album it came from you find out the other
tracks are just totally inappropriate.

He loves some Sugar Ray songs, and Smash Mouth, too. But I can't buy into the
whole album. So, we're gonna go to the store and I'll try and steer him
towards They Might Be Giants or the Spinning Jennies or even Hanson.

When I started this whole idea I thought Ringo's Greatest would be perfect.
I kept thinking how goofy the No No Song was and thought he would just love
it. But then I remembered that it's loaded with drug references. I know I
can't protect him forever, but gosh. I just don't want anything blatant.

Maybe I'll just get him Chuck Berry's My Ding-a-Ling. At least that's only
about two balls hanging on a string.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions...Gene
