This isn't what your asking but might I suggest you buy him a new
disc AND burn him a copy of his fav songs from your collection. I did
this for my 9 year old daughter over a year ago and she still listens
to it all the time. Her discs has Beatles, Puffy, Saint Etiene,
Archies, Supremes, Papa's Fritas and more. Plus, you can add pictures
of many of the artists that he is discovering on the artwork.
