Just wanted to second Bill's opinion of Marah. I saw them last week in Minneapolis, and was very impressed. They're one of those bands that I had always meant to see, but I was always busy/out of town when they were in Minneapolis, so this was my first time seeing them. Great stage presence (including one of them dancing on the bar while playing the harmonica) and they were also very skilled musicians. Plus, they seemed to enjoy playing together, which I'm finding rarer and rarer these days.

I still absolutely adore "Kids in Philly" and was very perplexed by "Float Away ...". But the new songs they were doing had that return to the more ... organic, for lack of a better word ... sound. I can't wait for the new album now!

Ellen
