I know that Antietam is opening for Eleventh Dream Day in Chicago next month
-- that may be a one-shot show. They are a band that I heard in college,
they didn't hit me -- but that was then, and I might like them now.
As for Mission of Burma -- Roger Miller has written plenty of catchy songs
-- check out his band No Man's HOW THE WEST WAS WON, for example. Anyway,
the MoB album is a contender for best of the year.
Finally, to reference Stewart's other post -- his Orange Juice/Josef K.
mention as a Franz Ferdinand comparison and/or influence is spot on. I hear
some Pulp, Kinks and Sparks too. And I mentioned apb a few weeks ago --
skittish Scot funk -- their album was called SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN.

NP: Pere Ubu -- THE TENEMENT YEAR
Just got packages in with new Lackloves and Slow Jets -- some great
listening ahead. But Arthur Yoria, who I think a lot of Auditeers would
like, is on deck.
