Hello Auditeers!

I have been digging the Franz Ferdinand cd too. I do hear a bit of Gang Of
Four influence in the "angular" sounding guitar parts....but I also hear early
Talking Heads, early Roxy Music, early Blur, British Sea Power and a host of
other Brit bands. They are very good indeed .

New bands that I am listening to and loving are The Delays. Their cd is
called "Faded Seaside Glamour" and they sound like The La's, "Kimono My House" era
Sparks and the Cocteau Twins all mixed in a blender. In other words poppy
yet ethereal sounding music with effeminate, high pitched male vocals. I am
loving it.

The Stands new cd is great too. Merseybeat meets the Band/Dylan is what they
sound like to these ears.
