This thread made me think of the albums I bought way
back when just because I liked the cover -- sometimes
I wasn't even sure if I liked the music. I recall
liking the Charlie tunes in addition to the covers --
bonus!
One example that I can think of -- and we have
discussed this band on the list before -- is Angel. I
was heavily into glam rock at the time -- Queen, Todd
R., Bowie, Elton, Kiss, New York Dolls, etc -- and
bought the Angel albums strickly because I liked the
cover. Oh, and a certain girl I was kinda attracted
to thought they were really cool.
I don't remember if I even ever listened to all of
them. I think one of them is still in the shrink
wrap!
