One pop artist from today that you might not know of but who you must hear
is:

Sleeping Giant,
a Dennis Diken-supervised ultra-purely-pop side project
which, to my knowledge,
has only semi-issued five tracks so far
(under the title "Excerpts from Late Music").

For fans of "Sunflower"-era Dennis Wilson / "Law and Order" Lindsey 
Buckingham,
with just enough Spanky and Our Gang meet the Walker Brothers tossed across
just for very good measure indeed.

This one's been stuck in the ol' Pig Player for MONTHS now
(as I periodically bug the Smithereen to complete and distribute to us all 
some more Late Music asap),
