Actually, while it does sound like a pretty good April Fool's joke, this
news is probably true! I've known Les Fradkin for many years-he's the guy
who played George in the original cast of Beatlemania (that's him pictured
on the soundtrack). He also did background vocals on several 45s in the
early '70s, and knows quite a few musical heavyweights from the period. He
was scheduled to play a set at IPO Chicago featuring his own tunes, but told
me he had to back out due to a tour with the new version of Edison
Lighthouse.
So, while I admit that I'm a gullible kinda guy, I would guess that the news
about the new Edison Lighthouse disc is true.
