The top 40 stations have picked up the song so the band is getting some
success from that (I'd assume they probably played Phantom Planet's
"California" as well, at least after it ended up the theme song to The OC,
if not before). I actually saw a commercial advertising the Rooney disc
on TV the other night .. it said "As heard on KIIS FM.. featuring
"Blueside" and the new single "I'm Shakin" .. What's funny is that KIIS
is the top 40 station in L.A. .. I was kind of expecting I'd rather hear them
say "As heard on KROQ" but I'm not sure they're even playing it.

By the way, the OC soundtrack apparently has some pretty good stuff..
Bands like The 88 and Jem along with Phantom Planet are on there
so at least somebody on the show has some good taste, and I swear
lately that someone on MTV has been listening to my radio show
because they've been sneaking in instrumental versions of some of my
favorite "more obscure" songs into their shows the last couple of months.

I was very surprised to see 47 folks moving
Rooney's "I'm Shakin'" around the net. I feel bad
that the guys are losing the sales, but it sure
seems like folks like the song. Is it getting any
airplay anywhere?
