NYC radio is absolutely the worst it has ever been. Absolutely.
But there are certainly stations that broadcast over the 'net that are worth
listening to -- WOXY, KCRW (notably in the 12-3pm slot Eastern Time for
Morning Becomes Eclectic), and I'm sure plenty others. Also, this morning
as I woke up to the local NPR, WNYC, my interested was piqued on hearing a
promo for a pop music show hosted by John Flansburg of They Might Be Giants.
If only they had the sense not to air it at 3pm on a workday (Fridays).
But bottom line, the "radio" experience doesn't have to be dead just because
the local commercial radio scene is virtually dead.

Didn't say it was weird Stewart. I said I was trying to understand the
phenomenon. Which you've helped. I used to like the radio too.
I live in NYC. If there is a radio station here I should be listening to,
I'd love to know it.
