I felt terrible when Kurt killed himself. I know there's nothing I could
have done to help him, but fer crissake, somebody should have! He had
just attempted suicide a few months earlier . . . what the hell was he
doing home alone for all that time? Tragic loss.
Anyway, I used to say that Kurt saved rock and roll -- when you compare
radio BK and AK, the after was actually listenable. But all of our rock
and roll gods prove mortal eventually; witness the decline and fall of
radio once again.
Q: Now that the Internet is here to stay, is radio even worth saving
anymore?
