Recording giant EMI said Wednesday it is outsourcing its CD and DVD
operations in Europe and the United States, cutting 1,500 jobs, and is
reducing its artist roster by 20 percent.
The company didn't identify which performers would be cut, but said they
are "niche and underperforming artists" mainly in continental Europe.
