ok damn. many of these have been said. perhaps spoken for, but i have some
interesting insight.
many bands popped in my head, maybe not sex pistols, clash, vu, bob marley,
or queen, but certainly jimi, james brown, even rem, and the kinks who
didnt make the list, but were DAMN close - i even like the kinks more than
the beatles most of the time. but i personally feel like this list would be
pretty close to it for me. who knows. controversial? pat boone! haha. and
baha men, classic. these may be in no order other than the first few.
The Beatles (sorry, ray davies.. you were close and i love ya)
Elvis Presley (even though he just made black songs popular, come on..
obvious one i know.)
Led Zeppelin (just blues, but essential)
The Rolling Stones (god.)
Nirvana (!?! why are they nowhere near anything? i think they deserve this
hands-down)
The Who
Pink Floyd
Aerosmith (!?!? - another that is a hands-down for me)
The Eagles
U2 (i can't believe they made mine, i usually can't stand the sound of them
but they HAD to. look at everything, where they came from, and are now.. i
dunno.)
actually, the beach boys may kick u2 outta there for me. hm.
good stuff, guys. i LOVE this list!
